As a matter of fact, sources at The Lotus Forums indicate it could set back customers in excess of 80,000 pounds.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">What that money will buy customers is an uprated V6 engine tuned to deliver 420 hp. By comparison, the Lotus 2-Eleven which the 3-Eleven will replace, delivered a relatively conservative 255 hp. As a result of this additional power, Lotus chief executive Jean-Marc Gales estimates that the car\u2019s top speed will hit around 290 km\/h with a lap time of 7:09 around the famous Nurburgring Nordschleife also expected.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Elsewhere, Gales recently confirmed that the 3-Eleven will be based around the Lotus Exige and consequently use the same chassis.
