At the RM Sotheby\u2019s Amelia Island 2015 auctions, over $60 million worth of cars were sold. One of the most incredible was an exceptionally rare\u00a0Ferrari\u00a0599 GTB with a six-speed manual transmission with it changing hands for a record $682,000.<\/p>\n
That final price far exceeded pre-auction estimates which suggested the manual 599 GTB would sell for between $200,000 and $275,000. On reflection however, it is apparent that those estimates were quite pessimistic.<\/p>\n
It is believed that just 20 examples of the Ferrari<\/p>\n

599 GTB arrived in the United States with manual transmissions with the rest fitted with the semi-automatic paddle-shift gearbox. Alongside being fitted with a six-speed (a gated six-speed no less!), this 599 GTB has less than 3800 miles on the clock when it crossed the auction block and is a 2007 example.<\/p>\n

Additionally, it includes optional features like Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, 20-inch Challenge wheels with carbon ceramic discs also featured. It also includes red brake calipers, an advanced Bose surround sound system and has spent most of its life in a climate-controlled collection. Complete with its black-on-black paint scheme, it seems inevitable that it will continue to rise in value!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
