{"id":2921,"date":"2016-12-14T21:00:57","date_gmt":"2016-12-14T21:00:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/autonews-mag.com\/autocopy\/2016\/12\/14\/new-2017-mercedes-benz-e-class-coupe-revealed\/"},"modified":"2016-12-14T21:00:57","modified_gmt":"2016-12-14T21:00:57","slug":"new-2017-mercedes-benz-e-class-coupe-revealed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/autonews-mag.com\/new-2017-mercedes-benz-e-class-coupe-revealed\/","title":{"rendered":"New 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe Revealed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/autonews-mag.com\/autocopy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Mercedes-Benz-E-Class_Coupe-2017-1280-02.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"jcepopup\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/autonews-mag.com\/autocopy\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Mercedes-Benz-E-Class_Coupe-2017-1280-02.jpg\" alt=\"Mercedes-Benz-E-Class_Coupe-2017-1280-02.jpg\" width=\"999\" height=\"619\" style=\"display: block; margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Mercedes<\/strong> is going to offer a&nbsp;new <strong>AMG E50<\/strong> range-topping version&nbsp;of the new <strong>E-Class Coupe<\/strong> during the latter half of <strong>2017<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The new model will be one of the first cars to get the company&rsquo;s new <strong>M256<\/strong> straight-six engine which is set to make its debut in the updated <strong>S-Class,<\/strong>&nbsp;Autocar&nbsp;reports.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The new engine will be a <strong>3.0-litre<\/strong> petrol unit with a conventional turbo running along an electrically operated compressor and a 48v electrical system. &nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In its standard form, the new engine will produce <strong>402hp<\/strong> but after a series of upgrades, including a higher boost pressure and internal modifications, the output is expected to rise to <strong>450hp<\/strong> for the <strong>E50 Coupe<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The new<strong> E-Class Coupe<\/strong>&nbsp;was revealed&nbsp;yesterday, dressing the cutting-edge technologies seen in the regular <strong>E-Class<\/strong> in a sexy but familiar two-door coupe bodystyle.
